Getting help doesn’t sabotage your career,
but not getting help can!

The Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP) provides a confidential, free, non-disciplinary program for judges, lawyers and law students to seek appropriate help for problems before they sabotage an individual’s career and/or quality of life. All contact with COLAP is confidential under Rule 254.

COLAP provides assistance with issues impacting a judge, lawyer or law student’s ability to be a productive member of the legal profession. Issues include stress management, addiction, mental health issues, law practice issues, investigating and planning interventions, assistance with entry into treatment facilities, aftercare programs, professional peer support meetings, obtaining sponsors and mentors.

COLAP provides educational materials and presentations regarding the causes of and remedies for impairments (mental & physical) affecting members of the legal profession.

COLAP provides free monitoring services for a variety of situations.

PROBLEMS ARE NOT A SIGN OF FAILURE BUT AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH
